Freelance Opportunity: Regional Coordinator (South West)

Contract: 12 months+, 30 hours per month (estimate). The role may include some evenings.

Fee: £400-400pcm retainer, exclusive of travel expenses

We are seeking a dynamic Regional Coordinator to help us provide an outstanding art loan service in the South West that promotes health, wellbeing and empowerment for all.

As a national charity that uses art and creativity to improve the wellbeing of patients, staff and those caring for them, we create uplifting environments to benefit the lives of over 1.8 million patients, visitors and staff every year.

Working from home and at health and social care partner sites, the Regional Coordinator for the South West will help us to increase the number of health and social care sites using our services. The Regional Coordinator will develop and deliver innovative engagement activities with service-users, patients and staff from new and existing health and social care partners, leading to sites borrowing artworks from the Paintings in Hospitals collection. The Regional Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the care and display of the artworks at our hub site (Southmead Hospital, Bristol) and in the region: renewing current loans, and leading the regional volunteer team.

You will have excellent communication skills, knowledge of the health and social care and a passion for the visual arts. A motivated individual with experience of working with loans within a museum environment, you will be results-driven with a track record of achieving targets and a strong desire to help people. You will have the organisational skills to prioritise and manage a challenging and diverse workload, and the ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.  Strong administration, sales and account management skills and an understanding of how our activities improve health and wellbeing will all help you succeed in this role.
