Bristol Arts in Health Forum awarded funding to set up creative networking events

Bristol Arts in Health Forum (BAHF) has been awarded £2,000 by Bristol City Council to set up a series of evening events for arts and health practitioners in Bristol.

The arts and health creative networking evenings will be open to all arts and health practitioners, artists, and health and social care professionals in Bristol. It will be linked to and managed by BAHF. It will meet quarterly in venues hosted by BAHF members and other health and arts organisations across Bristol.

Evening meetings will centre on a creative activity delivered by a Bristol artist, followed by informal networking. The format is designed to showcase the work of creative practitioners to potential commissioners, while also enabling arts and health practitioners to be participants, thus giving them an opportunity to experience the benefits for themselves.

Discussion will be facilitated with the aim of sharing information, ideas, and best practice.

As well as enabling the development of collaborations and partnerships which will be central to the success and survival of the sector, the events will encourage people to get to know each other, and become more involved with BAHF.
