A one day study event exploring the use of animation in health, social care and education will take place on Wednesday 19th September 2012 at the Arnolfini in Bristol. Speakers include leading occupational therapists and artists who will present their experiences of using animation as therapy in both clinical and community practice. The emergence of animated documentary as a technique within the field of animation and its relevance within therapies will also be explored during a panel discussion.
The event will be of particular interest to occupational and creative therapists, AHP’S (including SALT’s and psychologists), academics, artists, teachers and members of the public interested in finding out about the use of animation in therapy.
Key note speaker: David Sproxton CBE, co-founder of Aardman animations.
Case study presentations will include examples from Adult Forensic Psychiatry, Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
